SLSF train 739 handled local traffic for southeastern Oklahoma. BN train 747 was rerouted to terminate in Fort Worth with the start up of the Kiamichi Railroad in mid-1987. In 1988, it handled traffic for Ada, Mill Creek, Madill for the Kiamichi RR, Sherman, Irving, and Fort Worth. In 1989 the schedule was changed to terminate at Madill.

Train 754 began June 1, 1986 and operated from Ft Worth to Tulsa. In 1988, it handled traffic for Irving, Sherman, Madill, Tulsa, and beyond.

SLSF train QSF (Quanah San Francisco) retained its symbol through the merger with BN and handled traffic for the ATSF for northern California. Train QSF became train 791 Jan. 1, 1985. In 1988, it operated Wednesday through Monday and handled traffic for Springfield, Tulsa, Enid, and ATSF train 608 for Amarillo and beyond. In 1989 the schedule was changed to terminate at Tulsa.
