CB&Q train CD (Chicago Denver Merchandise) became train 63 in late 1968. CB&Q train 63 retained the same number after the merger. During 1972-3 the schedule was changed. Train 63 retained the same number during the change on Jan. 1, 1985. It handled TOFC for Omaha, Denver, D&RGW train 101, and SP train CHOAT to Oakland.

CB&Q train ACD (Advanced Chicago Denver Merchandise) became train 163 in late 1968. CB&Q train 163 retained the same number after the merger and left Chicago Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for Denver. During 1971 the schedule was changed to operate daily. Train 163 became train 65 on Jan. 1, 1985. In 1988 train 65 handled TOFC and general traffic for D&RGW train 187 and SP train RGOAT to Oakland and had an Omaha TOFC block on the head end.

Train QLA (Quanah Los Angeles) became train 73 Jan. 1, 1985. It handled TOFC and autos for the ATSF train 698 to Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and Phoenix. The symbol was changed to 75 Feb. 24, 1989 and it originates at Tulsa.
