The BN Expediter Advertising Policy

(First adopted March 22, 1993 and periodically updated)

The BN Expediter does not accept commercial advertisements for publication. However,

  1. New BN/BNSF/MRL-related products will be mentioned in our Information for Modelers or the Items of Interest columns.
  2. If a product is offered to FOBNR members at a reasonable discount, a separate column with its own heading will be printed.

  3. The FOBNR will, for a modest fee, include BN/BNSF/MRL product information fliers with the quarterly mailing of The BN Expediter. The producer must provide enough copies for the mailing. The cost is 15 cents per member for the first sheet, 10 cents per member for the second sheet, and 5 cents per member for each sheet thereafter. As an example, a two-page flier included with a mailing of 300 would cost 300 x .15 + 300 x .10 = $75.00. To get your product information flier into the mailing, contact us at [email protected] to get the current membership count. Then send a sufficient number of copies of the flier(s), along with a check payable to the Friends of the Burlington Northern Railroad. These materials must be received by the 15th of the month prior to the issue date of The BN Expeditor (i.e. by March 15, June 15, September 15, or December 15). Your fliers will be enclosed with the next mailing. Send the fliers and the check to the address shown above.
