FRIENDS OF THE |
There were actually two Fire Prevention instruction cars, both were ex-baggage cars. The first being the ex-GN heavyweight car used for the same purpose, it was painted red with yellow and orange flames along the side. As this car was very old it was retired shorty after the merger and replaced with a newer ex-NP baggage car. This second car was painted green with a black roof and also had yellow and orange flames painted on the side. This car was scrapped in the late 70's when fires from hot wheel bearings ceased to be a problem.
