FRIENDS OF THE |
This former NP car was used to test the drawbar pull of the NP (and BN) engines, so the railroad could determine tonnage ratings for various engines. In the early seventies, this car was known as 968085, but it was changed in 1974 to the B10. In the late seventies, GE and EMD dispatched their own test cars with their new locomotives and this car was declared surplus and donated to the Lake Superior Museum of Transportation. In 2008, this car was purchased by a private museum in the Twin Cities area and moved to their location.
